Physical Appearance
Small gray-brown beetles with a short snout and faint darker stripe along the back. Adults are about ¼ inch long and larvae are small green worms with black heads.
Common Locations
They live and reproduce in alfalfa fields and other vegetation, feeding on plant leaves and stems.
Why They're a Problem
Runways + plant damage are the giveaway. If you treat it like a ‘mole problem,’ you end up chasing the wrong animal. When meadow vole populations increase, they can cause noticeable damage to lawns and landscaping and are often difficult to control without targeted treatment.
